ARRL Roanoke Section Town Hall June 8

Dear ARRL Roanoke Division Members:

The upcoming ARRL Roanoke Division Town Hall will take place next
Monday, June 8, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM EDT. This will be a
particularly informative session where we will focus on Field Day (June
27-28) and developments on advancement of the Amateur Radio Emergency
Preparedness Act, the bill designed to bring antenna relief to operators
constrained by private land restrictions. In addition, newly elected
Virginia Section Manager Mike Aimone, WA8AHZ, will present a program on
how to identify and re-engage Technician operators who are approaching
the end of their license terms. An estimated 35%-40% of Technicians do
not renew their initial licenses. Mike’s club has developed a method to
get Technicians reinvigorated. With Field Day coming up, this might be
a way to recruit new members for your club. Plus, the four Section
Managers will provide updates on events in their states of North
Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. The Town Hall is
open to all, even those who are not ARRL members. Invite friends and
members of your club to join us.
